Mahindra has ended the series of teasers with the unveiling of four new concept SUVs at its Independence Day event in Mumbai. Specifically, the brand has revealed the Vision X, Vision T, Vision S, and Vision SXT. While all four SUVs have different appearances, representing different families of vehicles in various segments, all of them are based on the newly revealed NU.IQ platform of the automaker. It will underpin C-segment vehicles of the brand meant for the Indian and international markets. Here we take a look at the details of these vehicles.
Mahindra Vision T and Vision SXT
The Vision.T and Vision.SXT draws inspiration from the styling elements of the Thar.e concept that was presented previously. It showcases modern aesthetics that evoke the iconic Thar. While the Vision.T features a complete boxy body, the Vision.SXT opts for a truck-like cabin that accommodates the spare wheels in the deck. The overall design is both robust and divisive. However, their production versions might have a slightly toned-down appearance, as they need to ensure practical viability for everyday use.
Mahindra Vision S
The Mahindra Vision S concept exhibits a boxy outline with straight lines all around its body. Yet, it maintains a contemporary look thanks to its front end, which showcases the twin peaks logo flanked by vertically arranged LED lights on each side. Additionally, the brand has introduced a fresh design for the headlamps, creating a distinctive L-shape.
It also shows attributes of a vehicle built for off-road performance, featuring roof-mounted lights, a robust bumper, and plastic cladding along the sides with pronounced wheel arches. All these components contribute to a modern aesthetic with flush door handles, streamlined ORVMs, and a novel design for the alloy wheels. Many of these design elements may find their way into the next-generation Mahindra Bolero.
Mahindra Vision X
When it comes to design features, the concept model stands out as sharp and attractive. It is equipped with slender headlamps at the front, complemented by a sleek air intake. The hood is elongated, and the roof slopes downwards, giving it a coupe-like look. Furthermore, the Vision X is designed with flush-type door handles and a rear bumper featuring a dual-tone finish.
