- A digital Mahindra Thar rally truck concept features Red Bull-inspired livery and design
- The render shows a rugged Dakar-style pickup with a wide stance and off-road Goodrich tyres
- Design includes a lengthened bed, protective bumpers, raised suspension, and unique DRLs
A digitally rendered Mahindra Thar-based rally truck, wrapped in a Red Bull-inspired livery, is now doing the rounds on social media, giving the popular off roader a Dakar ready look. The concept, shared as a short video reel, is not an official Mahindra project but a speculative design piece created by an independent artist, which recreates the Thar Roxx into a desert racing pickup style truck.
Design And Styling
The render transforms the Thar into what closely resembles a prototype rally truck, with a lengthened rear bed and heavy duty visual treatment. Wrapped in a high contrast Red Bull-style livery, the model features bold red, white, and blue graphics, a wide track stance, and aggressive protective bumpers, giving it the appearance of a vehicle meant for long distance desert stages.

The overall silhouette is kept rugged and no nonsense, with skid plate like elements and a stripped-down rear section that suits traditional rally raid packaging. To complement it, the vehicle gets large black alloy wheels wrapped in off-road capable Goodrich tyres. Additionally, the vehicle has been raised with changes in suspension to give it functional capability. As part of the package, the creator has also added unique looking DRLs along with accessory lights.

Dakar-Ready, But Only On Screen
While the visual treatment and stance evoke Dakar-spec builds, the concept remains purely digital and does not indicate any official Mahindra plan to field a Thar rally truck in international cross country rallies. The original caption by the creator describes it as one of the "wildest" renderings. That said, the rendering does highlight how the Thar's ladder frame layout and 4x4 packaging could, in theory, serve as a credible base for a rally derived prototype if the brand were to pursue such a project in the future.
Enthusiast response
The video has drawn attention from Indian off-road and motorsport enthusiasts, many of whom have commented on how convincingly the Thar can be adapted into a rally-truck form. It comes forward as a compelling "what if" exercise rather than a signal of imminent motorsport activity.
