Kia Carens Clavis EV To Get GTX, X-Line Trims; Prices Leaked

The Kia Carens Clavis EV will get GTX and X-Line trims along with new options of six-seat configurations.

Kia India seems to be planning on launching the new variants of the Carens Clavis EV. Based on the leaked documents, the brand has the GTX and X-Line trims of the electric vehicle planned. These new variants of the EV will be aimed at buyers who want a different sporty styling. Expanding the variant lineup, this will be the first time the automaker will be introducing new variants since the launch of the model in July 2025.

While the details of the new variant have not been revealed. Looking at the GTX trim of the Seltos, these are expected to feature visual changes. For instance, it will likely get a new dark paint scheme with highlighted elements on certain parts, side door garnish, and new colours for the brake callipers, among other things.

Similarly, the special GTX and X-Line trims are expected to feature a new interior theme. These will probably be in the form of special stitching, the use of new colours, and a dark theme for the cabin. With the GTX+ and X-Line trims, Kia may also provide rear ventilated seats.

Meanwhile, the layout and the features available in the car will likely mirror the top-end HTX+ variant. The safety package features ADAS Level 2, which includes 20 autonomous functions. Both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations will be offered with the GTX, GTX+, and X-Line variants of the Carens Clavis EV.

Kia will likely provide the GTX and X-Line variants of the Carens Clavis EV exclusively with the larger 51.4 kWh battery pack. These models will use a single front-mounted electric motor that produces 171 hp of power and 255 Nm of torque. The ARAI-certified range is 490 km.

In contrast, the lower variants of the Carens Clavis EV come with a 42-kWh battery pack, featuring a single electric motor that delivers 135 hp and 255 Nm of torque. The ARAI-certified range for these is 404 km.

Based on a leaked document, the Kia Carens Clavis EV ER (Extended Range) will offer 6-seat and 7-seat options starting at a price of Rs 22.99 lakh. This makes it more affordable compared to the HTX+, which is priced at Rs 24.49 lakh. The GTX+ versions, available in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations, are set at Rs 24.99 lakh. The same pricing applies to the top-of-the-line Carens Clavis EV ER X-Line in both 6-seat and 7-seat variants.
