Volkswagen, the German car maker, is reading the facelifted avatar of the Taigun SUV. First launched in September 2021, this is going to be the first major update of the Hyundai Creta rival. The test mule of the Volkswagen Taigun has been spotted several times, and the increased frequency of the test vehicle hints that the brand is planning to launch the Taigun facelift sooner than expected.

The Volkswagen Taigun test vehicle was spotted with heavy camouflage. However, the wrapped vehicle did reveal some of the design details expected from the facelifted iteration of the SUV. The spy shots suggest that the VW Taigun gets revised bumpers, a refreshed grille design, sequential turn indicators, and redesigned headlamps.

On the inside, the Taigun facelift is expected to get a host of cosmetic and feature upgrades like a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, soft-touch materials, upgraded upholstery, and more. The brand is also expected to equip the new Taigun with safety features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and more.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen Taigun facelift will retain the engine options of the outgoing model, which gets a 1.5-liter TSI engine, churning out 150 hp and 250 Nm, and a 1.0-liter TSI engine that delivers 115 hp and 178 Nm.
