Honda Cars India is all set to launch the Honda City facelift in the Indian market tomorrow, May 22, 2026. The updated sedan has already been teased officially, while recent spy shots and dealership sightings have revealed several details ahead of its debut. The Honda City facelift is expected to bring noticeable cosmetic updates, new features, and improved cabin technology, while retaining the same engine options.
Honda City Facelift: Exterior Design
One of the biggest highlights of the Honda City facelift will be its revised front-end styling. The updated sedan is expected to get newly designed LED headlamps along with slim LED DRLs placed on the upper section of the housing. Honda has also teased a connected lighting element across the grille, giving the Honda City facelift a more premium and modern appearance.

The grille design on the Honda City facelift looks sharper than before and now gets horizontal elements instead of the older mesh-like pattern. The front bumper has also been redesigned for a sportier look. Interestingly, the test cars spotted recently did not feature fog lamps.
From the side, the Honda City facelift largely retains the same silhouette as the outgoing model. However, the sedan is expected to get newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels with a black finish, adding a slightly sporty touch. At the rear, the Honda City facelift is likely to receive updated tail-lamps, a cleaner bumper design, and a more noticeable integrated boot-lid spoiler.
Honda City Facelift: Interior & Cabin
Inside the cabin, the Honda City facelift is expected to feature a larger infotainment touchscreen than the current 8-inch unit. The screen could feature a more upright design for a fresher dashboard layout. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also expected to be offered.

Apart from that, the Honda City facelift could come equipped with ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, and revised upholstery options. The sedan is expected to continue with its black-and-beige cabin theme and familiar steering wheel design.
Honda City Facelift: Engine Options
Mechanically, the Honda City facelift is likely to continue with the same powertrain options. The standard model is expected to use the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121 bhp and 145 Nm torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic.

Honda is also expected to continue offering the strong hybrid version of the Honda City facelift with the 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle hybrid powertrain producing 124 hp and 253 Nm torque.
