Director Kabir Khan, best known for films like 'Ek Tha Tiger', has gifted his wife - Mini Mathur an all-electric MINI Cooper SE. Mini shared moments of the delivery online, expressing gratitude towards MINI and Big Boy Toyz, hinting that the car was a special and well-planned gift.
The Mini Cooper SE is equipped with a 32.6 kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed range of up to 275 km on a single charge. It produces 182 bhp of peak power and 270 Nm of torque, making it one of the more fun-to-drive electric hatchbacks in its segment.

Despite being an EV, the Cooper SE retains MINI's signature go-kart-like handling, appealing to enthusiasts who want performance without emission. Power is sent to the front wheels only, resulting in a 0-100kph sprint in 7.3 seconds and a top-speed of 150kph. The Cooper SE also gets four drive modes - Mid, Sport, Green and Green+.

The Mini Cooper SE is capable of fast-charging from 0-80 percent in 36 minutes via a 50kW charge point, while a 11kW wall box (provided as standard) can charge it from 0-80 percent in 150 minutes - 210 minutes for a full charge.
The gifted car is a 2023 model with just 2,200 km on the odometer, indicating minimal usage. It is a first-owner vehicle, registered in Chandigarh.
Inside the Mini Cooper SE, the cabin retains the familiar charm of the standard hatchback but introduces a few distinct touches that set it apart. The highlight is a compact 5.5-inch digital display behind the steering wheel, marking the first time a Mini has been fitted with such a cluster. A new toggle on the centre console allows drivers to adjust brake-energy regeneration levels, while vibrant yellow accents continue to brighten the interior. Despite the electric powertrain, Mini assures that passenger comfort and luggage capacity remain virtually unchanged.

On the equipment front, the Cooper SE is generously appointed. It features an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay support, sporty seats for added comfort, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system. A panoramic glass roof enhances the sense of space, while a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a touch of luxury. Practical inclusions like a tyre pressure monitoring system further round out the package, ensuring the electric Mini balances style, technology, and everyday usability.
While the standard model, when launched in India was priced at Rs 47.20 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the model gifted by Kabir Khan is priced at around Rs 32 lakh, the Cooper SE sits in the premium EV space, offering a balance of performance, design, and sustainability.
