Denza, BYD's premium car brand, has released the first set of images of its new sports car ahead of its official unveiling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Additionally, the brand has announced its association with one of the most popular James Bond actors, Daniel Craig. As per the information revealed by the Chinese automaker, "Daniel Craig will lend his image to several key vehicles being launched this year, including in marketing materials and television commercials."
The Denza Z (final name yet to be confirmed) is shown in the pictures and rivals the Porsche 911, first revealed as the Z concept at the Shanghai Motor Show in 2025. It will likely be the flagship product of the brand, placed above the Z9 GT shooting brake, B5 SUV, and D9 MPV. The features of the car are expected to be borrowed from the Z9 GT.

The specifications of the Z have not been completely revealed yet. However, the car will likely have features like crab walk, tank turn, with steer-by-wire magnetorheological suspension, and a tech-heavy cockpit. Furthermore, it will have a tri-motor electric powertrain pushing out over 952 hp. Using the power, the car can go from 0-100 kmph in less than 3 seconds. Given the car's qualities, it seems an ideal model to be promoted by James Bond himself.

Once launched, the car will be crucial for the brand's performance category in the European market. Things get even more interesting with BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li confirming that the car focuses on technical capability, which will likely be used as an edge over its rivals. To add to the highlights of the technical edge, the car will use BYD's Blade Battery, which offers faster charging and more range.
In her statement, Li said, "Daniel Craig represents a powerful combination of strength, sophistication and authenticity. Those qualities resonate deeply with what DENZA stands for." She further confirmed that the brand will be introduced across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa.
