BMW X3 30 xDrive Pre-Bookings Open Ahead Of February 16 Launch In India

The BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro will have more power than the current variants of the SUVs sold in the Indian market.

BMW India is preparing to launch the all-new BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro in the Indian market on 16 February 2026. Before the event, the company is in the process of taking pre-launch bookings for the SUV. To be locally manufactured in India, this iteration of the model will be more powerful than the currently available version and will continue to compete against models like Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and Volvo XC60.

The BMW X3 30 xDrive will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This unit is tuned to produce 258 hp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. This unit is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, which adds 11 hp and 25 Nm. The power will be transferred using an 8-speed automatic gearbox to all four wheels via BMW's xDrive system. With all of this, the X3 will be on par with the competition in terms of powertrain.

BMW's xDrive is an intelligent all-wheel drive system that continuously monitors driving conditions to provide optimal traction and vehicle stability. The system features electronically controlled 'Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks' (ADB-X), enhanced 'Dynamic Traction Control' (DTC), along with Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control to effectively handle different terrains.

In terms of safety, the X3 comes with eight airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) that includes Cornering Brake Control (CBC), an electric parking brake with auto hold functionality, side-impact protection, an electronic vehicle immobilizer equipped with a crash sensor, and provisions for securing child seats.

From a design perspective, the SUV boasts signature elements of the Bavarian brand, including a kidney grille exterior with more pronounced styling cues that enhance its presence on the road. All of this is complemented by the presence of 19-inch alloy wheels. With all of this, the current X3 xDrive20 variant comes at a starting price of Rs 71.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
