Ather Energy has updated its operating system to Stack 7, which powers its electric scooters. At the Ather Community Day 2025, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer announced a new platform, concept scooter, improved Halo helmet, updates to Ather Stack and updates on the Rizta.

Ather Energy's Tarun Mehta said that with more than 4.5 lakh customers on the road, the company has compiled and examined data of over 760 crore kilometres. This has helped Ather to safety feature called ‘pothole alert' which essentially informs the rider of a patch of bumpy roads ahead. Using an Ather Halo helmet, the scooter will intimate the rider saying ‘bumpy road alert, drive carefully'. Ather Energy has mapped out potholes for the roads of Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai to start with. Going a step further, Ather Energy has integrated alternate map option with fewer/no potholes in the scooter's navigation unit.

The Ather Stack 7 now comes with crash detection alert. In case of a fall or mishap, a notification with live location will be sent out to three emergency contacts saved in the scooter. The emergency contact details will also appear on the dash console so that passersby can be informed.

Improving on the anti-theft feature, Ather Energy has now provided LockSafe, which in case of theft, will intimate the owner. The owner can immobilize the scooter through the app, and it can also override the physical key. In case of theft, the owner can immobilise the scooter and navigate to their unit.

Acting on customer feedback, Ather Stack 7 also allows customers to remotely stop charging the vehicle through App. The owner doesn't need to physically unplug to stop the charging process. Owners can also remotely shut down the scooter.

The Ather Stack 7 also allows real-time cricket score on the dashboard. Limited data will be available in the bottom corner. When halted or parked, the full screen mode of the scorecard can be availed.
