2026 Toyota bZ Woodland

Toyota has revealed its upcoming electric SUV, the bZ Woodland, which is scheduled to enter production in 2026. This new model builds on the foundation of the bZ4X and the smaller bZ SUV, but takes a more rugged approach aimed at families who want versatility both in the city and on rougher terrain. While the brand is likely to begin the production of the bZ Woodland by later this year, its arrival in the Indian market is in doubt.

The Woodland is larger than the standard bZ, featuring a stretched body, higher ground clearance, and a dual-motor setup as standard. Its design carries familiar cues from Toyota's bZ family, such as the sharp LED daytime running lights, but adds chunkier bumper detailing, roof rails, and protective cladding to emphasize its adventurous character. At the rear, a more upright D-pillar and a wide taillight strip give it a distinctive look compared to its siblings.

The 2026 Toyota bZ Woodland distributes the power to two electric motors that together produce about 375 hp, sending power to all four wheels. Toyota has equipped the SUV with X-Mode traction control and downhill assist, making it more capable SUV. The 74.7 kWh battery pack provides an estimated driving range of up to 452 km on standard tyres, or around 418 km with all-terrain tyres. Fast charging is supported via the North American Charging Standard port, with the battery able to charge from 10 to 80 percent in roughly 30 minutes under optimal conditions.

Inside, the Woodland offers a spacious cabin with modern technology. A 14-inch touchscreen runs Toyota's latest multimedia system, complemented by wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The SUV also includes a digital instrument display, dual wireless charging pads, and multiple USB-C ports. With the rear seats folded, cargo capacity expands to more than 2,000 litres, making it practical for long trips. Higher trims add premium touches such as ventilated and heated seats, a panoramic glass roof, and an upgraded audio system.

Safety is covered by Toyota Safety Sense, which comes standard across the range. Over-the-air updates and connected services will keep the SUV's systems current, while suspension and steering have been tuned to balance highway comfort with trail capability.
