The 2026 Tiago has been launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the electric counterpart comes at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The price for Tiago EV with BaaS is Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom) with Rs 2.6 per km. Meanwhile, the iCNG version of the car comes at Rs 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

The next-gen Tata Tiago EV now comes with Smart, Pure Plus, and Creative Plus trim levels.

The Tata Tiago facelift now comes with colours like Varanasi Vibrance, Sobo Surge, Pangong Pulse, Pristine White, Pure Grey, and Daytona Grey. The colour options remain the same for the electric counterpart, with Dehradun Dew as the extra colour option.

The Tata Tiago facelift car gets easter eggs in the design. It likely gets a squirrel on certain parts. This comes along with a redesign for the basics, including the buttons.

The list of charging options for the next-generation Tata Tiago EV includes a 3.3 kW portable charger, 7.2 kW home charger, and 30 kW DC fast charging. With the 30 kW charger, the car can add 100 km of range in 18 minutes.

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited is now offering a lifetime unlimited-kilometer warranty on all its products. The list of electric vehicles sold by TPEM in India includes Punch EV, Harrier EV, Curvv EV, Tigor EV, and others.

The Tata Tiago EV will have Long Range and Medium Range variants. The Long Range version of the car gets a 24 kWh battery pack offering an MIDC range of up to 285 km. Meanwhile, the Medium Range version gets a 19.2 kWh battery pack.

The Tata Tiago EV is claimed to offer a usable range of between 205 km and 215 km on a single charge. The brand also claims that it can add up to 100 km of range in 18 minutes of charging.

Like its ICE counterpart, the Tiago EV, in its updated version, comes with six airbags as a standard safety feature. It also gets a high-beam alert and auto demist features, which use sensors to detect moisture in the cabin.

The Tata Tiago EV offers better stability because of better weight distribution, which results in better control and driving advantage, as per the brand.

The Tata Tiago EV now comes with a 24 kWh battery pack. It now offers 40 per cent faster charging, offering a 100 km charge in 18 mins. The brand is also offering a lifetime battery warranty with the Tiago EV.

Tata Motors' electric vehicle manufacturing arm now has over 3 lakh consumers in the Indian market. They also claimed that EV adoption is most concentrated in the premium segment. With the Tiago EV, the brand aims to target buyers looking for a practical and accessible option. Until now, Tiago EV has had 75,000 consumers in the country.

The list of features also includes cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, paddle shifters with an AMT gearbox, and auto headlamps.

The Tata Tiago is claimed to be the first car in India to offer a CNG powertrain with an AMT gearbox. The AMT gearbox is claimed to offer smoother shifts and better handling in traffic. It also gets a twin-cylinder technology, which offers better boot space. 

The brand is claiming to offer a higher seating position of 626 mm, which is the segment best and offers a better view, along with ease of ingress and egress.

Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO, Tata Motors, said the Tiago is more than an upgrade and called it a "return of aspiration" to the Indian market.

Tata Tiago now gets features like 360-degree camera, dual wireless phone charger, auto-folding ORVMs, rear AC vents, and more.

The updated Tiago brings many segment-first features, including the twin-cylinder technology in the CNG powertrain variant, along with an AMT gearbox. It also claims to have a four-star GNCAP safety rating.

The Tata Tiago facelift gets an improvement in safety with six standard airbags, a blind spot monitor, an electronic stability program, and changes in the chassis.

With the changes in place, the 2026 Tata Tiago is expected to have a higher price tag compared to the outgoing model. The outgoing model has a starting price of Rs 4.60 lakh (ex-showroom), which is likely to increase to around Rs 5 lakh.

For safety, the Tata Tiago is expected to get six airbags as standard, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and more.

The Tata Tiago now comes with a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, dual wireless phone charges, and rear AC vents. It is also expected to get a six-speaker sound system, a cooled glove box, and more such features.

The infotainment system is now a floating screen on the Tiago, along with a floating screen for the instrument cluster. The ‘TIAGO’ badge on the center of the dashboard has been repositioned lower to the climate control panel, which retains the familiar rotary knobs and toggle switches with a clear look. It is placed on a black panel.

Tata has significantly revamped the interior of the Tiago with the 2026 facelift. Although it maintains a black-and-light grey color scheme, the dashboard is now more vertical and includes a new free-standing display for the driver. Additionally, it features a slightly updated 2-spoke steering wheel with a lit Tata logo.

At the rear, the hatchback gets a new design for the LED taillamps featuring vertical lines. These seem to be connected with the brand's logo in the middle. The rear end also gets a wiper, "Tiago" lettering on the tailgate, and a new design for the bumper with vertical reflectors.

The Tata Tiago EV sports a similar style to its ICE counterpart. However, the black panel in the electric vehicle is replaced by a body coloured panel. At the lower end, the car has vertical slats with a design that separates it from the combustion engine powered version.

Tata Motors has already revealed the design of the Tiago facelift and its electric counterpart. Based on the images revealed, the car is getting a major design update, with a new eyebrow-like LED DRL design for the headlight housing. This contributed to giving the car a sharper look. The presence of a black panel in the middle complements it.

Tata Motors is launching the updated version of the Tiago in the Indian market today. The car will come with major changes in design and interior with ICE, CNG, and electric powertrains. This is the first major update of the hatchback since the launch of the outgoing model and is expected to bring major additions to the list of features.
