Renault India has officially unveiled the India-spec new-gen Duster ahead of its upcoming launch. The SUV debuts with a fresh design, a completely revamped interior, and new powertrain options. Pre-bookings have begun at Rs21,000, offering benefits such as priority delivery, special introductory pricing, and exclusive 'Gang of Duster' merchandise.
2026 Renault Duster: Engine And Powertrain
The India-spec Renault Duster will debut with multiple powertrain choices. Leading the lineup is a 1.8-litre, four-cylinder direct-injection petrol engine (E-Tech 160) paired with two electric motors, delivering 160 bhp and 172 Nm. A 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol (Turbo TCe 160) follows, producing 160 bhp and 280 Nm, offered with both six-speed manual and DCT gearboxes. Additionally, a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol (TCe 100) generates 100bhp and 160Nm, available solely with a six-speed manual. Another 1.3-litre turbo-petrol variant produces 163 hp and 280 Nm.
2026 Renault Duster: Exterior
The new Renault Duster retains the familiar silhouette of the global third-gen model but carries distinct design tweaks for local appeal. Up front, it sports redesigned headlights with eyebrow-style LED DRLs that double as turn indicators, a unique grille with the Duster badge, and a bumper highlighted by a silver surround reminiscent of the first-gen version. Pixel-shaped fog lamps flank the bumper for added character.
From the side, rugged black cladding covers the wheel arches and lower body, while rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar. Functional black roof rails add utility, and at the rear, connected LED taillights-exclusive to the India-spec model-are paired with a roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper and washer. A silver insert on the black bumper breaks up the otherwise simple design, giving the SUV a more striking finish.
