Hyundai has launched the 2026 Verna in the Indian market. This is the first update of the model for its current generation since its launch in 2025. With this update, the automaker has made changes in the design, interior, and feature list of the model. Furthermore, the automaker has now used 'HX' nomenclature, which replaces the previous one. All of these changes are aimed at improving the sedan's position against rivals like Slavia, Virtus and City.

In this article, we take a look at the variant-wise feature list of the model to understand which offers the most value for money. Before diving into the details, it is worth mentioning that the sedan comes at a starting price of Rs 10.98 lakh to Rs 18.25 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).

Hyundai Verna: Powertrain

The Verna is equipped with petrol engines. It features a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque. Those who choose the high-end variants of the Verna can select a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. Both engines come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the naturally aspirated petrol variant can also be paired with a CVT gearbox. Meanwhile, the turbo-petrol engine is available with a 7-speed DCT.

Hyundai Verna: Variant-Wise Features

HX2

The HX2 is the base variant of the 2026 Hyundai Verna, priced at Rs 10.98 lakh. It is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC and hill start assist.

Externally, it gets halogen projector headlamps, 15-inch steel wheels with covers, rear parking sensors and a day/night IRVM. Inside, the cabin features a dual-tone layout, fabric seat upholstery, manual seat-height adjustment and a rear centre armrest with cupholders. 

Other notable features include keyless entry, rear defogger, auto headlamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs, type-C ports, front adjustable headrests, all power windows and a tilt-adjustable steering.

HX4

The HX4 is priced at Rs 12.25 lakh and retains the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox as the HX2. Over the base variant, it adds tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), LED positioning lamps, DRLs and tail-lamps, a rear spoiler and shark fin antenna. It also gets 15-inch alloy wheels instead of steel wheels. 

Inside, the HX4 adds an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster with TFT display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition and steering-mounted controls, along with front and rear speakers. It includes a sliding front centre armrest with storage, idle stop/start, a sunroof, automatic climate control, telescopic steering adjustment, rear AC vents, cooled glovebox, cruise control and LED cabin lamps.

HX6

The HX6 is priced between Rs 13.19 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh and is available with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT transmission. Over the HX4, it adds a rear-view camera, front parking sensors and an auto-dimming IRVM.

It also gains push-button start, height-adjustable front seatbelts and LED projector headlamps. The alloy wheels are upgraded to 16-inch, and the cabin gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, rear adjustable headrests and front tweeters.

Other additions include rear window sunshades, paddle shifters on the CVT models, an auto-release tailgate, drive modes (CVT), a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting and electrically foldable ORVMs.

HX6+

The HX6+ is priced between Rs 13.81 lakh and Rs 15.02 lakh and shares the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol powertrain options as the HX6. Over the HX6, it upgrades the seat upholstery to leatherette. It also adds an 8-speaker Bose sound system and front seat ventilation, improving comfort and audio quality. The overall feature set remains similar to the HX6, but the interior feels more premium due to the upgraded materials and the enhanced audio system.

HX8

The HX8 is priced between Rs 14.88 lakh and Rs 17.62 lakh and offers both the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual or CVT and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with manual or DCT. Over the HX6+, it adds an electronic parking brake on DCT models and rear disc brakes for better braking performance. 

Turbo-petrol variants get a dash cam and Level 2 ADAS features. Exterior upgrades include 16-inch dark grey alloy wheels on turbo-petrol models, an all-black interior theme with red accents and red front brake callipers. 

The HX8 also gains an 8-way power driver seat with memory, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, rain-sensing wipers and metal pedals on turbo-petrol models.

HX10

The HX10 is the top-spec variant, priced between Rs 17.15 lakh and Rs 18.25 lakh, and is available with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol CVT or the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol DCT. Over the HX8, it adds a 7-airbag safety package, a 360-degree camera and a blind-view monitor for improved visibility. 

It also gets a 4-way powered front passenger seat and powered boss mode for the front passenger seat, allowing easier adjustment from the rear. The instrument cluster is upgraded to a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, enhancing the cockpit's tech feel while keeping the overall feature list focused on convenience and safety rather than cosmetic extras.

Hyundai Verna: Best Value For Money Variant

For buyers looking for a budget-friendly option in the Verna lineup, the HX6+ brings good value for money. As a mid-tier variant, the HX6+ is reasonably priced and comes equipped with desirable features such as ventilated front seats, a Bose audio system, and more. Paired with the naturally aspirated engine and the continuously variable transmission (CVT), it seems like a good choice for urban commutes.
