Yamaha Motor has introduced new colour options for its range of R15 motorcycles sold in the Indian market. The range of entry-level supersports includes R15M, R15 Version 4, and R15S. The aesthetic change comes without any revisions in the mechanics or the feature list of the motorcycle. Based on the announcement, the motorcycle will now have a starting price of Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom).
The R15M is now available in Metallic Grey. The R15 Version 4 receives a new Metallic Black shade, introduced in response to customer demand, along with revised graphics for the Racing Blue variant. The Matte Pearl White colour, previously offered internationally, has been added to the R15V4 for the first time in India. Additionally, the R15S variant now comes in Matte Black with vermillion wheels.

Meanwhile, the mechanics remain the same. Yamaha R15 continues to use a 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine producing 18 hp of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.2 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. This unit is paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike also gets a quick-shifter and a traction control system.
The engine is housed in a deltabox frame suspended on upside-down forks at the front and linked monocross suspension at the rear end. The braking setup consists of a 282 mm front disc brake and a 220 mm rear disc brake. For safety, the bike gets ABS. Along with this, the feature list also includes two riding modes.
