Salman Khan was today sentenced to five years in jail in the 2002 hit-and-run case. He appealed in the High Court and was granted a two-day interim bail. While ordinary citizens welcomed the verdict as proof that everyone is equal before law, Bollywood, by and large, rallied behind the actor with some even calling the verdict unfair.
