Deep in the tribal areas of Dangs in Gujarat, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad workers have finally begun a belated campaign for the BJP. Their support, though less evident in urban areas, attempts presenting a united front in this Congress stronghold. The Parivar's main rallying point is the temple, built to honour Shabari, the tribal devotee of Lord Rama and comes as part of an old strategy to win over tribals.
