The Gujarat government has appointed Supreme Court lawyer Ranjit Kumar as their new counsel, after KTS Tulsi resigned in protest. Tulsi quit after Chief Minister Narendra Modi's controversial speech on Tuesday, justifying the Sohrabuddin fake encounter killing. Tulsi said it would be difficult for him to continue defending the government in the case.
