Indian soldiers were teaching the Chinese the use of their weapons and vice versa at the Hand in Hand 2007, the first ever joint training exercise between Indian and Chinese troops. The exercise got off to an unusual start with martial art and yoga. The senior commanders from India and China watched from the sidelines. It is a tentative but a positive start to a new phase in the troubled relationship between the two countries.
