Hemant Karkare, the anti-terror squad chief killed in the Mumbai attacks, would have been 54 on Friday. Karkare's family has put a small insert in the Indian Express thanking the people of India for expressing solidarity with the family after his death. They have also expressed gratitude for declaring his birthday as Shaurya Diwas.
