Campaigning in Assam is hotting up with political bigwigs and stars from all parties heading for the state. The BJP has roped in stars like Smriti Irani and Hema Malini on the campaign trail. Hoping to improve on its eight seats, the party has fielded candidates in 125 of the 126 assembly constituencies. Leaders like Gujarat Chief Minister Narender Modi, party president Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj and Kalyan Singh are already on the job.
