Nursery admissions: A new point system confuses parents and schools

Private unaided schools suffer a major setback as the Supreme Court refused to stay the order on the Lieutenant Governor's guidelines that scrapped the management quota in school admissions. The government has introduced a new point system. Points will be awarded based on proximity to school, older siblings, children of alumni etc. But schools and parents allege the new system has reduced admissions to a confusing and mindless 'lottery system'.
