Navapur grapples with bird flu crisis

It has been over a month since Navapur, a little known town on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border hit the headlines for a bird flu outbreak. Lakhs of birds were killed to contain the spread of the virus. Muzamil Khan Pathan, a poultry farmer had watched helplessly as 22,000 chickens from his farm were killed in a single day.
