The Sri Lankan Tamils had actually fled their hometown near Trincomalee to take refuge at the temple town of Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. But they lost their lives just minutes before they could reach the Indian shore since rough weather toppled their overloaded boat. Five of them died and five more are missing.
