A group from the Codava National Council was in Bangalore on Friday to present a charter of demands to the Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, appealing for autonomy for the district. The people of Coorg say that their identity is in danger of dying out, and their demand is that their homeland should be proclaimed an autonomous region.
