At least 15 people have died in Arunachal Pradesh as monsoon hit the northeast. However, in neighbouring Assam, flash floods have inundated more than 150 villages. Around 1,50,000 people are affected in Lakhimpur district of Assam and 18,700 hectares of land is submerged. Electricity and phone lines are also disrupted.
