The trouble in Jammu and Kashmir began on the May 26 this year with the decision by the Congress led-State government to transfer 100 acres forestland to the Amarnath Shrine Board. The move triggered days of violent protests in the Valley after which the People's Democratic Party (PDP) withdrew support to the government.
