Violence is continuing in Jammu as the BJP-backed Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti, which is spearheading the agitation has extended it by another five days. On Sunday, the state government cracked down on protests by sealing the offices of two local television channels for communally inflammatory broadcasts. The administration claims these channels were inciting violence by whipping up public sentiment over the Amarnath land transfer issue.
