Veteran CPI(M) leader VS Achutanandan will be the next chief minister of Kerala. The decision was taken after a daylong meeting of the CPM Politburo on Sunday. However, there could be hurdles ahead for the party if the Kerala CPI(M) does not take adequate measures to deal with the factionalism. It is likely the politburo will now talk tough with the state unit.
