The Malayalam film industry has formally split from its parent organisation The Malayalam Cine Technicians Association (MACTA) Federation. Trouble began a couple of months back after actor Dileep refused to work in a film directed by Thulasidas despite accepting an amount as advance. The situation went out of control when MACTA federation chief Vinayan allegedly used unparliamentary language against one of the directors, at a recent meeting.
