Rising food price is not good news for any government in an election year, but the worse news is that higher prices are here to stay. Prices of basic food items like rice, wheat, pulses and edible oil have shot up dramatically by over 50 per cent.With huge pressure on supply side, people may have to shell out more money for their food basket.
