A slow moving Andhra Pradesh could end up benefiting its neighbour with the $3 billion Fab City project, which is awaiting the clearance of a Semi Conductor policy by the Centre. It is now looking at the home of IT, Karnataka. Sandalwood Partners, one of the equity players holding a five per cent stake in the project has approached the Karnataka government with the idea.
