AMRI To SUM Hospital Fire: Same Blunders?

20 people were killed in a fire at SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar. Details have now emerged of how the last fire safety audit was done in 2013 and SUM Hospital failed to implement the required changes. There around 1700 hospitals in Odisha but only four of them have fire safety certificates. On Agenda today: From the Kolkata's AMRI Hospital fire in which over 90 people die to SUM Hospital, have no lessons been learnt? Why is fire safety not a priority for hospitals and how can it be fixed?
