The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has set up a 14-member committee for stalled residential projects of India. This committee, headed by G20 Sherpa Mr Amitabh Kant who was also the former CEO of NITI AAYOG, is expected to meet next week to decide on possible ways to get stalled housing projects completed. The real challenge will be to get all the government authorities to come on-board with a large reconciliation of funding agencies. Will the committee evolve laws that govern all parties involved to carry out faster resolution for the nationwide stalled residential projects? Will the committee allow more SWAMIH like funds to bring respite to the home buyers?
