Real-time Train Information System

Indian Railways is installing a Real-Time Train Information System (RTIS), developed in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), on locomotives. The tracking system will provide automatic acquisition of train movement timing at the stations.

Now rail users can get information on expected arrival and departure timings of a particular train on their mobile phones besides tracking its position on a real-time basis.
