Zomato, Swiggy, Amazon Deliveries Disrupted Amid Nationwide Strike
New Year's Eve celebrations across India may be hit by major delivery disruptions as gig workers from platforms like Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zepto, Amazon and Flipkart go on a nationwide strike on one of the busiest sales days of the year. The protest, called by gig workers' unions, is over low pay, unsafe 10-minute delivery targets, lack of job security and alleged pressure to remain silent. Mumbai, a major delivery hub, is already witnessing delays, with large protests planned at Azad Maidan.
