PM Modi's Message Amid Trump Tariff War Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Independence Day speech, vowed to stand like a wall for the farmers. He mentioned different schemes launched for the benefit of farmers and agriculture like PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana. Approved on July 16, 2025, the scheme targets 100 low-performing agri-districts with an annual outlay of ₹24,000 crore for 6 years. It aims to enhance productivity, promote crop diversification, improve irrigation and storage, and ensure credit access. The focus will be exclusively on agriculture and allied activities.
