Why India's Ratings Were Not Upgraded

Thomas Rookmaaker, Director, Sovereign Ratings, Fitch ratings spoke to NDTV on why India's sovereign ratings were not upgraded and still retained at BBB-. He says while inflation has cooled off and growth is expected to accelerate to 7.7 per cent in FY18, poor governance and weak fiscal position reigned the agency from upgrading India's ratings.
