The tug of war for Karnataka's Chief Minister post has intensified within the Congress. After a series of huddles in Delhi and Bengaluru led by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar have spoken out. DK Shivakumar said the leadership question is an internal matter among 5-6 key leaders and won't be discussed publicly. He acknowledged Siddaramaiah's work and noted that the CM has completed 2.5 years and plans to present the next budget. Siddaramaiah, on the other hand, has said it is up to the high command to end the confusion. With both camps asserting their positions, the Karnataka Congress power struggle shows no sign of resolution.
