West Bengal | Suvendu Adhikari Shares First Message After Swearing In As Chief Minister Of Bengal

Suvendu Adhikari was sworn in as the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal on May 9, coinciding with Rabindra Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the ceremony and oversaw the transition of power as the BJP formally took charge in the state. After paying tribute to Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore along with senior BJP leaders, Suvendu Adhikari addressed the people of Bengal, invoking the ideals of Tagore and Swami Vivekananda. In his speech, the newly sworn-in Chief Minister said Bengal would move forward with a focus on rebuilding education, culture and governance, while urging people to move beyond political divisions.
