Phase 2 polling in West Bengal has been marked by multiple incidents of violence, clashes, and allegations of electoral malpractice. In Hooghly's Khanakul area, tensions erupted at a polling booth over claims of fake polling agents, leading to a scuffle between Trinamool Congress and Indian Secular Front workers. Similar unrest has been reported in parts of Howrah and Nadia, with allegations of intimidation, lathi charges, and disrupted voting. Despite this, long queues across both urban and rural areas indicate strong voter turnout, even as concerns over EVM delays and security persist.
