Political suspense continues in Tamil Nadu as Vijay waits for an invitation to form the government despite Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) emerging as the single largest party with 108 seats. With Congress support, TVK currently has 113 MLAs, still short of the 118-seat majority mark. During two meetings with the Governor, Vijay was reportedly asked several questions about stability, support from other parties and how he planned to prove majority after taking oath. TVK has now intensified outreach to VCK, CPI and CPM, whose support could help it cross the majority mark. Legal experts, however, argue that the Governor can invite the single largest party first and allow a floor test later in the Assembly.
