Protesters gathered outside the U.S. embassy in Mexico on Saturday to condemn the Trump administration following the capture of Venezuela's president. Waving protest signs, they expressed concern that the U.S. operation may lead to a possible intervention in Mexico and other parts of the continent. President Claudia Sheinbaum also condemned the U.S., saying its actions went against international politics and law, and also Mexico's "very clear principles" enshrined in the country's foreign policy.
