Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal meets Jairam Ramesh
Vedanta boss Anil Aggarwal has met environment minister Jairam Ramesh. Vedanta's expansion for Lanjigarh refinery has been stopped after the government found that the company was expanding without getting the requisite regulatory approvals. Sources tell NDTV that Anil Agarwal requested Ramesh to reconsider his ministry’s decision to reject stage-2 bauxite mining in the Niyamgiri hills.
