Varanasi Airport Gunfire: Passenger Pulls Trigger During Security Check, 2 CISF Staff Injured
A licensed pistol went off during a routine weapon screening at Varanasi's Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, injuring two security personnel. The passenger allegedly pulled the trigger while trying to demonstrate that the weapon was unloaded. One of the injured screeners, Suman Kumari, suffered injuries to both legs and described the moment the gun discharged. The incident occurred during mandatory checks of declared weapons and ammunition at the airport.
