Vande Mataram Storm: BJP Targets Rahul, Sonia Over Congress HQ Video
BJP has released a video of Rahul Gandhi with subtitles alleging that he objected to the full version of Vande Mataram. The BJP claimed that Rahul Gandhi is heard saying, “We don’t play the full version of Vande Mataram” in the clip. In another video shared by BJP leader Amit Malviya, he claimed that Sonia Gandhi is heard saying “no” during Vande Mataram. The BJP alleged that the Congress leaders were signalling for the song to be stopped, claiming that the party continues to resist the full rendition of Vande Mataram. The Congress, however, has denied any such attempt, saying Sonia Gandhi was only asking for a chair for party president Mallikarjun Kharge, who had been standing for some time.
