Locals near a resort in Uttarakhand where a woman was allegedly murdered by the son of a BJP leader are angry that the police did not speed up the case. BJP leader Vinod Arya and the accused's brother Ankit Arya, who was also a party member, have been kicked out of the party following the accused Pulkit Arya's arrest. The resort is about 10 km from the main town, Rishikesh. The woman's body was recovered from a canal this morning. The locals said they had to reach out to the media to amplify their calls for help. The police did not look for the body for days, they alleged.
