US Waives Tariffs On Select Specialty Drugs From India And 19 Other Nations
The US has exempted certain specialty pharmaceutical products and related ingredients from tariffs for India and 19 other jurisdictions. The zero-tariff treatment covers specified medicines for rare diseases, fertility treatments, cell and gene therapies and other specialty products. The exemption comes as the US begins imposing 100% tariffs on certain patented pharmaceutical imports from September 29.
