US Navy Tests New Long-Range Air-Launched Maritime Strike Weapon
The US Navy has conducted test flights of a new long‑range air‑launched weapon designed for maritime strike and sea‑mining missions, according to USNI News. Referred to as the JDAM Long Range (GBU‑75), the system is an extended‑range variant of the Joint Direct Attack Munition and is designed to strike targets at distances of up to 300 nautical miles, expanding the Navy's stand‑off strike capability.
