US Midterms | Roy Cooper's Message After Winning North Carolina Senate: 'Our Best Days Lie Ahead'
Democrat Roy Cooper celebrated his victory in North Carolina's Senate race with a promise to put people before politics, party and power. In his victory speech, Cooper vowed to fight for affordable healthcare, housing and groceries, protect Medicaid expansion, tackle corruption and address rising fuel costs. Taking aim at billionaires and political insiders, he said his campaign may have ended, but the work of governing begins now. Cooper also called himself a "prisoner of hope", saying America's best days lie ahead.
