General Dan Caine said the crews of all three Iranian-linked merchant vessels seized by the U.S. military over the past week remain in U.S. custody. He said the U.S. will continue maritime interdiction operations against Iranian ships and vessels linked to the “Dark Fleet” across the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Caine said the crew of the TousKa, the first vessel seized on Sunday, ignored repeated U.S. warnings for six hours. After warning shots failed, CENTCOM authorized disabling fire, and a Navy destroyer fired inert rounds into the ship’s engine room to stop the vessel.
